Editing update 1

This is an update regarding the editing of our thriller opening sequence. We have recently received feedback on our first cut, and begun editing from the points raised. We have also taken the decision to add footage of New York City (that I shot one week prior to editing) into our piece, because we feel it greatly increases the persona of the business man. On top of this, it sets the sets up well for the chase scene to be set in central park.
The transfer from SD card to Final cut pro has also been fairly challenging. The SD card reader we attempted to use did not co-operate well with our Apple Mac, thus slowing us down. Importing our footage took longer than we had taken into consideration, and so we have been required to edit during our own time.
However, so far, the editing itself has come fairly easy to our group. The shots we have managed through have been fairly easy and we have cut them effectively for a thriller film.
We anticipate that it may become increasingly difficult towards the end, as we attempt to apply techniques we have not previously used. However, we feel that we will be able to persevere through any struggles we undergo.
